SERVICES

Our Specialties

We offer personalized, convenient in-home veterinary care for your beloved pets.  Home care reduces stress for patients and helps the veterinarian observe the pet in their most comfortable state.  Individualized treatment plans can be created with both the family and pet’s needs in mind.

In-home Palliative Care and Hospice Consultation

This 1.5 hour individualized, comprehensive service is intended to discuss all aspects of your pet’s health, quality of life and management of their medical needs. It will include a full review of all provided medical records, a thorough physical exam and review/adjustment of treatment plans. Lab work, medications for pain or well-being will be available if indicated and desired. We will provide education, guidance and support for families & pets going through this difficult time.

This service can be utilized in conjunction with your regular veterinarian or as a precursor to euthanasia.

* This fee will also include up to 20 minutes per week of phone/email support/questions.

$275 (plus house call travel fee)

Follow-up Medical Consultation

This 30 minute appointment is designed to address ongoing needs of a pet after the initial In-Home consultation.  As disease progresses or as new issues arise, these can be addressed in follow up consultations.  Lab work can also be performed at this appointment if indicated.

COST: $145 (plus house call travel fee)

Quality of Life Assessment Exam

This 1 hour personalized service is recommended for those considering euthanasia, but that are unsure “if it is the right time”. An in-home observation of the pet, physical exam, thorough discussion of quality of life variables as well as the opportunity to discuss the specifics of euthanasia will be discussed.

Quality of life worksheets and handouts will be available.

COST $225 (plus house call travel fee)

Euthanasia

Euthanize your pet in the comfort of their own home. This compassionate and final act of love can be given to a pet who is suffering, or has a limited quality of life.

This 1 hour service will begin with an explanation of the process and what is to be expected given the specific circumstances of your pet’s condition. After the discussion, your pet will be given a sedative to relieve any pain or anxiety they may be feeling. They will typically be resting peacefully in 5-10 minutes while everyone has time to say their final good-byes. This will then be followed by a second injection to help your pet pass peacefully within only a few minutes. After your pet has passed, we can assist with aftercare (see Aftercare), or you can choose to handle these arrangements yourself.

*Note: If your pet is aggressive or excessively anxious, an oral sedative may be given before sedation injections to help your pet relax.

COST: Starting at $300 (plus house call travel fee and Aftercare fees if requested)
